Potomac Pizza

The holidays are here and many will be making their annual treks to the malls for plenty o’ shopping.  Since the mall scene can be a bit dry when it comes to food, I gathered up a quick list of spots to grab a bite without breaking up your shopping tour.

Harry's Smokehouse Fried Shrimp, Wings and Sausage Bites

  1. Harry’s Smokehouse: Often overlooked unless your coming off of the Pentagon City Metro, Harry’s is not your typical mall restaurant where they actually use local, fresh ingredients.  Almost unheard of in the mall scene, the restaurant boasts a menu with local produce and east coast seafood outsourcing.
  2. Potomac Pizza: If you’re in Mazza Gallerie doing your holiday shopping, this is a good stop if your wallet is looking meek from time spent in Saks.  The pizza is good, reasonable and they serve wine and beer.  Also, the space is uber casual inviting a kid friendly atmosphere.
  3. The Melting Pot is hosting its Big Night Out which should fit in perfect after a day spent at Reston Town Center.  If you’re into cheese, meat and chocolate, then the fondue chains new menu should be right up your alley.  The Chocolate Wildberry Crunch fondue, the Melting Pot’s take on the Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich, sounds like a way to end a day of shopping.

Happy Holidays!
