World Tour: I’m going to Jamaica!

So, not only is August Johnna’s birthday month, it’s mine as well! This year, I received one of the best gifts I have yet to receive in my young 23 years – a 5-day, 4-night stay in Negril, Jamaica! My lodging arrangements are all taken care of, and all I have to do is find a good, cheap flight. I also have to began a thorough search of local, must-visit restaurants and markets so that I can give my taste buds the true Caribbean escape that they have been yearning for. I am excited beyond words about this upcoming trip – especially since Jamaica has long been on my ‘Travel/Cuisine Wishlist‘. I have dabbled in local, Greensboro restaurants that serve Jamaican cuisine, and I even use Jamaican seasonings in my own cooking at home, but FINALLY, I’ll have the opportunity to experience food from the heart of the island itself. Once my airline ticket is booked, I will be in full starvation diet/exercise/planning-mode so that I will be able to afford to put on a few extra pounds and so that I’ll know exactly where to go to do it!
