March of Dimes Annual Signature Chefs Auction

On November 14, 2012, the city’s culinary masters will take over the Ritz-Carlton for an evening of dining, cocktails and wine. The March of Dimes Annual Signature Chefs Auction is the common thread among these chefs reining from diverse backgrounds. The March of Dimes is devoted to life-saving research to help prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Over 500 guests will attend the event to support the March of Dimes Mission while tasting some of the areas best from local chefs, bartenders and vintners. The evening will include an auction with packages such as a stay at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida and Private Dinner with the Washington Redskins. ALL proceeds raised fund the vital mission of March of Dimes.

Participating restaurants include: B. Smiths, Bar Pilar, Hank’s Oyster Bar, Taberna Del Alabardero, Willow Restaurant, Michel Richard Citronelle and Restaurant Eve.

Johnna French is a Harlem NY native with deep roots in Panama, Washington, DC and North Carolina. All four places have heavily influenced her life and the foods she loves today. French, who still practices law, leads a team of three writers to cover the ever expanding Washington, DC food scene. French has been featured in print and television, appearing in Washingtonian Magazine and is a regular contributor to various local TV affiliates including WUSA 9, FOX 5 DC and WJLA (ABC Affiliate) News Channel 8. During the 2016-2017 football season, Johnna aired on Comcast Sports Mid-Atlantic (CSN) show, Redskins Life, as the weekly tailgate host. Johnna is currently a regular contributor to the FOX Baltimore Weekend morning show.
