The Pink Line Project and Chef Barton Seaver team up for Green:  On Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 6 pm-10 pm, Pink Line and Chef Seaver will host Cuisine Contra:  Green is Delicious, featuring a cocktail reception and 3-course dinner with recipes provided by Chef Seaver.  A portion of the proceeds will go to helping DC Greenworks build more green roofs in Washington, DC.  Tickets can be purchased here.

Food & Friends host 21st Annual Chef’s Best Dinner & Auction on June 27, 2011 @ the Washington Hilton.  More than 50 of the area’s top chefs will come together and serve up special tastings of their signature dishes to raise monies for Food & Friends.  Tickets are $250 for individuals or $2,250 for a table host and can be purchased here.  Look forward to seeing your area favorites such as Eric Ziebold (*CityZen), R.J. Cooper (*Rogue 24) and Anthony Chittum (*Vermilion).

Sixth & I has been busy this spring and summer.  After the launch of Sixth & Rye food truck this spring, the Synagogue is now hosting Jewish Cooking 101:  Farmers’ Market Mealson Thursday June 16, 2011 @ 6:30 pm.  Leah Koenig will lead the class in making eco-kosher Portobella mushroom burgers and basil two-bean salad.  Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here.

Johnna French is a Harlem NY native with deep roots in Panama, Washington, DC and North Carolina. All four places have heavily influenced her life and the foods she loves today. Johnna is currently a regular contributor to the FOX Baltimore Weekend morning show.
