Etiquette Tuesday: Grooming, Part Deux

One of my Twitter friends suggested I touch on this subject: grooming at the table. I discussed this subject last October and it seems some folks did not get the memo because they are still GROOMING at the table!  There are many reasons there is a bathroom at many eating establishments and the main one is so you can tend to those hairy, nail biting issues.  Simply excusing yourself from the table for 10 minutes to dig out that annoying piece of steak will make everyone else’s meal more pleasant. Who really wants to see you picking in your teeth while they sit across the table with a breathtakingly good soufflé?!?

Etiquette Tuesday is back guys and with a vengeance. I hope I will not have to revisit this subject again because I may have to put the etiquette police on these issues.  (*Just kidding, but really…) Stepping away from the table is not only considerate for the person you are with but for the rest of the patrons in the restaurant.  A large part of enjoying a good meal is visual and I certainly do not want to associate hair brushing or an old piece of meat stuck between your teeth with my piping hot, cheesy lasagna. Let’s be courteous.
