Nutty Brownies

2 sticks of butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 tsp. cocoa
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Mix cocoa and butter in a large bowl until creamy. In another bowl, beat the eggs into the sugar. Add to the cocoa mixture. In another bowl, sift the flour over the nuts and mix gradually. Slowly add in the liquid mixture; blend well. Add in the vanilla and beat well. Pour ingredients into a greased baking pan with waxed paper. Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until done (should be able to stick a toothpick in center and nothing should come out on the stick…but do not overcook!). Serve warm.

*Johnna’s tip: Serve with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Indulge!
