A Good Bottle of Wine: Los Vascos

[ 0 ] March 9, 2020 |

A good bottle of wine is a good bottle of wine, no matter what the cost.  This is the opinion of JKGF. Good wine does not have to cost you a life savings.  As a matter of fact, it can and should cost you under $20 if you subscribe to brands such as Los Vascos.  Los Vascos has been around for 30 years priding itself as one of the top Chilean wines grown mostly in the Colchagua Valley.  With flavor notes that tickle the palate when paired with dishes or left alone and a price point that is affordable, it is no wonder why it is intriguing the D.C. market.  Here are three to try on your next trip to Total Wine:

Los Vascos Grande Réserve Carmenère 2017:  A beautiful red with notes of black pepper, blackberry and cherry, this matches perfectly with a nice piece of chocolate.

Los Vascos Chardonnay 2018:  Spring is near and this is the drank to have in hand.  Crisp, fruity with a hint of acidity, pair this with your favorite cheese spread.

Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon:  I would recommend a specific Cab here, but there is no need.  Los Vascos does Cab’s right with their varietals that feature deep ruby red colors and aromas of plum, cocoa and nutmeg.
