Chef Rob Weland will serve a 5-course menu on New Year’s Eve with highlights and new additions from his menu at Garrison on Barracks Row.  The full New Year’s Eve menu can be found here.  The menu is $85 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity and there will be an early seating with reservations beginning at 5:00 p.m., and a second seating with reservations starting at 8:00 p.m. All reservations can be made through the restaurant’s website or by calling 202-506-2445.

Blackwall Hitch, on the Potomac riverfront in Old Town, Alexandria, will offer a four-course menu in three seatings on Thursday, December 31. The menu includes a soup and salad course, an entrée and a dessert offering.  Seatings will be at 5, 7 and 9:30 pm. At  9:30 pm, local soul and blues band, Vintage #18,  will  perform on the Blackwall  Hitch stage. At midnight, guests from the last dinner seating will enjoy party favors & complimentary champagne to toast in the New Year.

Central celebrates the last night of the year with Executive Chef David’s second annual New Year’s Eve “Citronelle-At-Central” celebration from 7 to 11pm (Five-course Menu $125; Wine pairing  $75).

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Bar Dupont’s annual party on Thursday, December 31, from 9 pm to close. Guests will ring in the New Year by throwing it back to the 1960s Mad Men-style with specialty handcrafted cocktails, a Belvedere Ice Bar, cigar rollers, and DJs spinning late into the evening. The Gibson hosts the DADA on New Years Eve.  The DADA art movement of the European avant-garde in the early 20th century rejected moral, social, political and aesthetic values and guests can expect all of that at this party.   For $130 ticket, enjoy open bar all night (9pm-2am), small bites, a midnight champagne toast and performances by famous drag queen Salvadora Dali and burlesque superstar Reverend Valentine.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse is offering a limited menu studded priced at $79. Guests can feast on appetizers including crab cakes with Cajun lobster sauce and shrimp cocktail as well as classic salads and sides like shaved Brussel sprouts and potatoes au gratin. L’Hommage Bistro Francais, located at 450 K Street, NW, 20001, will offer guests a five-course tasting menu on New Year’s Eve from 5 p.m. to Close.  Priced at $95 per person (not including tax and gratuity,) guests can feast on classic French dishes prepared by Executive Chef Josh Laban Perkins that incorporate traditional cooking techniques to pay tribute to the true flavors of French cuisine.
