Union Market has become the epitome of DC’s nouveau culture which is why it is a perfect place for the launch of VinoFestDC. Wine connoisseurs, live music attendees, and art lovers alike are welcomed as this wine tasting turned block party is one of the hottest events of the summer. Thrown by VinoLovers, a DC-based wine subscription start-up, VinoFestDC’s selections will be sure not to disappoint.
VINOFESTDC BREAKDOWN
Food—Some of DC’s yummiest food trucks will be present along with the vendors that keep Union Market thriving, in addition to, the metropolitan’s best restaurants
Wine—From 2 pm-6 pm, festival goers are allowed to try up to eight glasses of the finest wine that is currently available to try from around the world; additionally, a complimentary glass of sparkling wine will be provided for each guest
Entertainment—With artists like Jessie Boykins III and Eric Hilton (Thievery Corporation) or bands such as Bonnie Rash and Body Language wear comfortable shoes because once the music starts you won’t be able to stop moving your feet
Art—Exhibits will be displayed throughout the grounds showcasing great works from local artists
Charity—Proceeds from the evening will be given to Dreams for Kids which provides amazing opportunities for children with developmental and physical challenging disabilities as well as Bike to the Beach, an organization which focuses on educating urban residents about the benefits of riding a bike on a regular basis
