happy hour: el rey

[ 0 ] April 4, 2014 |

photo 1El Rey DC crept on the scene quietly this winter with an outdoor patio that is sure to be a hit this summer.  Besides a patio to please the Washingtonian Spring Fever, the fish tacos and margaritas are a couple of other reasons I am feeling this spot.  Not really a place to wear your four-inch heels, El Rey attracts the casual happy hour visitor with denim and sneakers as the main attire.  I suggest getting there at the top of happy hour if you want to nab a table for your group and ordering one of those large pitchers of margaritas for $18.  Don’t feel like sharing?  The $5 Margaritas have enough tequila in them to get your buzz started for the night.
