Recipe: Oven Roasted Brussel Sprouts

[ 0 ] July 11, 2013 |

photo1 lb. brussel sprouts

3 TBSP Olive Oil

2 strips of turkey bacon (*diced)

Salt & Pepper (To Taste)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  Cut the brussel sprouts into halves and toss in a bowl with the olive oil, bacon bits, salt and pepper.  Place brussel sprouts on a baking sheet and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until crisp on the outside.  Serve.

*Johnna’s tip:  I love brussel sprouts as a side dish and I love how there are so many ways to change up the look.  Add bacon in for more salty flavors, add onions when you want more crunch and you might want to try a roasted beets and brussel sprouts combo.  Just have fun with it, they’re good for you!
