The Metropolitan Cooking Show: Cooking Demos, Wine Pairings and chatting with Paula Deen and/or Rachel Ray.  Enough said.
  • Details:  At the Washington Convention Center, November 13 (10 am- 7 pm) & 14 (10 am- 5 pm), Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Oysters Four Ways:  The Chef’s at Addie’s on Rockville Pike will roast, fry, shuck, and BBQ your oysters. Yum. Other activities will include: an oyster shucking competition, bobbing for apples, face painting for kids, a Moon Bounce, a raffle, Live music, and guests can enjoy beer and wine. 12 pm- 5 pm on Sunday, November 14, 2010, $50 before the event and $60 at the door, kids under 12 are $20 and under 5 yrs. old are FREE.

Shrimp scampi or Stir Fry?:  On Friday, November 12, all Whole Foods DC stores will be offering medium-sized (31/40), tail-on cooked shrimp for $5.99, which is half off the everyday price.  It’s holiday time, wouldn’t hurt to have a few of these around alongside a spicy cocktail sauce…

Johnna French is a Harlem NY native with deep roots in Panama, Washington, DC and North Carolina. All four places have heavily influenced her life and the foods she loves today. Johnna is currently a regular contributor to the FOX Baltimore Weekend morning show.
