>>>Until September 30th, Sanctuary T will be hosting a tea-inspired recipe contest.  The grand prize winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Sanctuary T Shop and have their winning recipe featured on their site.  The runner-up will win a free bottle of T-Dust Seasoning and a 2 oz. tin of tea of their choice.  More contest details here.  I am already concocting a recipe in my head…it includes green tea and Rum…don’t steal my idea!

>>>Restaurant Week is Not Over! I love how Restaurant Week is not restricting itself to the District, there are plenty of goodies around the Beltway.  Take for instance, Rockville’s Restaurant Week coming up on October 4-10, 2010.  Over 31 Rockville restaurants will be offering either $8 Lunch/$15 Dinners OR $10 Lunch/$25 Dinners.  A list of the restaurants can be found here.

>>>Football is the event of the season and Restaurant Ris is taking part in the festivities.  Chef Ris Lacoste has unleashed the “Hang Time” menu featuring Maine Lobster Rolls, Grilled Polish Sausages and Nachos (*typical football food with an upgrade…) for all guests in restaurant RIS’s bar and cafe.  The restaurant will offer up this menu every Sunday during football season with three large flat panel televisions airing the games of the day.  Go Redskins! …or shall I say Go Giants!
