Food.Fun.Stuff: Bad Food…No, Disgusting Food.

[ 0 ] February 4, 2009 |

How could a top New York Bakery think they were honoring President Barack Obama to his new position with racist cookies?!? Well apparently, a well known pastry shop, Lafayette French Pastry Bakers, in Greenwich Village created a controversial cookie called “the drunken negro face” by the owner. The owner stated that he didn’t see anything wrong with the cookies or their names (*they were supposed to be in honor of inauguration of President Obama), but the owner now states that he feels terrible (*He should feel horrible!) The owner has released an apology regarding the cookies to the community and his customers.

This is appalling that a fellow foodie (*or anybody for that matter…) would do such a horrible thing! We at JKGF have ZERO TOLERANCE for racism. Lafayette French Pastry Bakers should be ashamed! Absolutely disgusted…
