I love finding events that seek to educate and expose people to different cultures (and FOOD).  I especially love to find those events when they are just a short drive away.  That’s right, I won’t need to book a train ticket or airline ticket, nor will I have to try to convince my friends to go on a 4-14hr road trip.  Instead, I can take a mere 1.5 hour drive from Greensboro to Raleigh, NC on Friday, September 30 for The 26th International Festival of Raleigh– a “3 day celebration of music, food and culture from around the globe.”

This festival will provide attendees with the opportunity to experience the cuisine from Vietnam, India, Sweden, India, Iran, Japan, Portugal, Brazil, Turkey, France and the Middle East- talk about a spread!  I’m amazed by the variety of food that I would get to experience (and write about) without having to use a single American Airlines point.

Besides an amazing offering of food, there will be plenty of other attractions that the whole family can enjoy such as arts and crafts, cultural exhibits, demonstrations, face painting, live international bands and even a Naturalization Ceremony for new American citizens!  With so much to offer, this would be a great event for people near and far to come experience!
