Simple Creamy Alfredo

1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
16 oz. pasta (*your choice) (cooked and drained)
1/2 tsp. fresh basil
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
Dash of nutmeg

In a pot over low-medium heat, stir together the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, margarine, milk and basil; stir until smooth. Add in the pasta and toss lightly to coat with sauce. Top with dash of nutmeg and serve.

*Johnna’s tip: The countless things we love about simple Alfredo…1. You can add just about any seafood to it i.e. shrimp, scallops, etc., 2. There are numerous herbs and spices that taste fabulous in it i.e. parsley, cayenne pepper, etc., 3. It is soooo easy to make…It’s basically a two pot meal with the pasta cooking in one pot and the sauce in another. You get the picture, Alfredo is an easy go to meal especially on a Monday, like today, when we really aren’t up for much cooking…
