Don’t have a passport yet?? You’re not totally out of luck thanks to Passport DC which is allowing visitors to explore the District’s numerous embassies. From April 30-May 9, 2009, you can visit over 30 embassies for authentic music, dance, crafts and cuisine. The Embassy Open House will be held May 2, 2009.

The Low Down: The best day for a foodie seems to be May 2, 2009 which is when there will be cuisine on the premises. Also, this is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon…taste the flavors of Australia, Bangladesh and Botswana, amongst many others.
