Honkaku Spirits

Honkaku Spirits are a step away from the norm. In a society that is now trying to do the most and stand out in every way for the ‘gram, time for a bar cart upgrade. We love our oldie but goodie brands but Honkaku whiskey should be the newest mate for your ginger ale. In the mood for an old fashioned? Try the JKGF twist below. Salud!

District Commons Cherry Old Fashioned & Cherry Mash Sundae

Ingredients:

4 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

1 tsp. sugar

1 tsp. water

2 oz. Honkaku Takamine 8 Year Whiskey

Orange Peel, for garnish

Directions: In a lowball glass, add the bitters, sugar and water and stir. Once the sugar is dissolved, add ice and whiskey and stir. Rub the orange peel around the rim of the glass and top off cocktail with it.
