Drinks on Me: Arnold Palmer (Non-Alcoholic)

[ 1 ] January 29, 2009 |

Arnold Palmer

4 oz. lemonade (*Homemade or you can buy from your local grocery store pre-made)
4 oz. Iced tea (*Homemade or you can buy from your local grocery store pre-made)
Fresh mint sprigs
Ice

In a tall glass, combine equal amounts of iced tea and lemonade over ice; give a stir and serve.

*Johnna’s tip: We know what you’re thinking…this is just an iced tea and lemonade mix that you can get from any third restaurant…this is true. The name Arnold Palmer was given to this mix allegedly after the famous golfer Arnold Palmer became angry with the bartender at the Cherry Hills Country Club in Englewood, Colorado because the bartender refused to mix lemonade in his iced tea. The bartender apparently gave in and the Arnold Palmer cocktail was born;-)
