Drinks on Me: Warm Vanilla Twist (Non-Alcoholic)

[ 0 ] January 27, 2009 |

Warm Vanilla Twist

2 cups low fat milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Nutmeg (for garnish)
Cinnamon sticks (for garnish)

In a small pot, combine the milk, sugar and vanilla over medium heat; stir and heat but do not boil. Pour into your favorite coffee mugs and sprinkle the nutmeg on top; stick cinnamon stick in the mugs. Serve.

*Johnna’s tip: Tired of hot chocolate and warm tea?? This is your warm drink answer. As the snow falls on this Tuesday in the District, thoughts of warm, creamy vanilla twisted beverages make us enjoy the winter wonderland and the treats that come along with it. Top with whipped cream if you really in the need for added comfort…;-)
