Happy Hour: Pennsylvania 6

[ 0 ] July 15, 2016 |

DSCN2899Oysters and happy hour go together like clouds to the sky, they are a match made.  Pennsylvania 6 came to town and realized oysters were the way to the after-work Washingtonian’s heart.  Oysters for $1.  I repeat, $1.  They are absolutely winning at this happy hour game.  JKGF recently visited the spacious bar for a after-work “farewell” party for a longtime Obama administration appointee and fell in love with the space all over again.

Pennsylvania 6 has one of the longest bars in this part of Downtown D.C., in addition to tons of private spaces to linger around with your cohorts over gin and tonics.  Conversations during this particular visit seemed to focus on the burgers served by the contemporary American restaurant and “good” was the adjective applied before the dish reference.  I’ll take their word for it on the burger and stick to the oysters.  Forget diamonds, oysters are this girls best friend…

Happy Hour is Monday-Friday, 4 pm-7 pm.

Deal:  $1 oysters and $5 oyster shooters (offered 11 am-3 pm on weekends)

Weekend Deal:  1/2 priced wine bottles on Sunday from 6 pm-close.
