New Flavor in Your Ear: Buckeye + Bear

[ 0 ] June 30, 2016 |

It is no secret how I feel about live music so it was a no-brainer that I would be in the building for the opening of Buckeye + Bear.  The new concert venue opened in the old Huxley space with a performance by Doc Marten + The Flannels.  Standing room only with a few tables spread around the main stage, you will want to get in early to hear an artist here.  The price points start at $10 and up depending on who is performing.  Food and drinks can be purchased on the premises though I would suggest doing dinner beforehand where: 1.  You will likely be standing most of the night and who wants to juggle food while trying to enjoy the show and 2.  The food was “meh” from what we ordered (had high hopes for the half smoke and brisket nachos).

Loving this new space and how diverse they are making it.  Think everything from:  your favorite local band on stage on a Tuesday, comedy show on a Wednesday and then Thursday night karaoke with your friends.  You could essentially kick it here all week with completely different objectives.  #squadgoals
