Comeback Kid: Bangkok Joe’s Returns

[ 0 ] May 5, 2016 |

20160405_185320Bangkok Joe’s Thai Restaurant & Dumpling Bar is back by popular demand and in full effect. Closed in 2014, with mixed reviews they decided to give it another go round with a revamped interior and new menu items.  If the soft opening is any indication of what is to be expected, then customers are in for a real treat.

There were several different dumplings that made it around the room but I enjoyed the other scrumptious creations that was passed around; chicken satay in a peanut sauce, tempura-fried sweet potato, a Thai chili crème brûlée, and chicken fried rice.  These samples barely made it out the kitchen.  The star of the show, however, was the Thai chicken fried wings.

Bangkok Joe officially re-opened for business April 2016.  Make sure you make a trip to the Georgetown’s Washington Harbour to experience a more traditional and authentic Thai experience in the revamped space (3000 K Street NW Washington, DC 20007).
