Restaurants Plus by LivingSocial

[ 0 ] November 17, 2015 |

Saving and eating out?  Those are words that do not typically connect in one sentence, which is why my curiosity was piqued by LivingSocial’s new Restaurants Plus program.  LivingSocial’s Restaurants Plus program launches TODAY in the District after its first launch in September in Atlanta.  The new program is boasting savings for guests by offering up to 25% back on dining purchases in area establishments.  After doing the math on this new venture, I am game.  If I, for example, spend $20 bucks at a restaurant that is offering 25% back on the final bill, I am only paying $15 for my total meal (valued at $20).  That $5 in savings means dessert.

How does it work?  Sign up here, register a debit or credit card, and then find and dine at any of the 140 participating restaurants in D.C. metro area.  Toro Toro, Boss Shepard’s and Bourbon Adams Morgan are a few of the names you will find on the restaurant list.  The win-win in this whole operation has done little to curb my enthusiasm for eating out every other night of the week.  Now I can actually save some coins while feeding my inner addiction to the dine-out experience.

If you are still skeptical on the whole operation, November 19, 2015 is the day to kick the tires on this newbie in D.C.  Sign up for Restaurants Plus and you are on the invite list.  During the happy hour/#SocialHour, you will find out how much you can save that evening (*there’s a promise of HUGE savings).  The #SocialHour is taking place at over a hundred bars and restaurants in the D.C. area (*see list here).  Get more deets on the #SocialHour here.  Cheers!

Sign up here and don’t forget to share your opinion on the program, they want to hear from you!
