1.  On October 4, 2014, from 12-7 p.m, Capitol City Brewing Company in Shirlington Village,Arlington, Virginia will celebrate Oktoberfest. Guests can sample over 60 beers, various foods and live German entertainment. The admission is $25 and the Shirlington library will host events for children.

2.  Reston Town Center Ocktoberfest on Oct. 11-12(12-11 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 12-8 p.m. on Oct. 12) will feature autumn brews and traditional Oktoberfest fare from various area restaurants. Besides having food, wine, beer and live entertainment, there will also be a carnival. The tickets are $20.

3.  Roofers Union has a special Oktoberfest menu including pierogies, chicken & dumpling soup, schnitzel & spaetzel, house sausages, rum cake and more. The Oktoberfest menu is available through October 5th for $35 with your choice of 3 courses. Beer pairings are a mere $15 more, and is completely worth it as Dave their beer guru has taken every precaution to make sure they complement your meal. The celebration concludes with Roofers Union Oktoberfest Party on October 5th. It begins at 6:00pm, $45 all-inclusive of five beers and German sausages.

4.  Beginning Thursday through Sunday (October 2-5, 2014), Fort Belvoir Fremont Field will hosts its 19th Annual Oktoberfest at Fremont Field. The four-day festival will highlight authentic German Food, beverages, music and dancing. There will also be a carnival, kinder korner activities, raffle prizes and more.  This will be extremely family friendly.

5.  The 32nd Germantown Oktoberfest is on October 5, 2014 at High Point Farm in Clarksburg, MD.  It will feature a biergarten, dancing, food and activities for the kids. Adults will enjoy the selection of food and beer while kids can take part in polka dancing and games.  Don’t miss the fireworks at the end of this event, which will occur just around dusk.  This event is FREE.
