fforks-01 (1)What’s Going On:  Industree Hosts Pop-up Event – ‘F*CK FORKS’ benefitting FCancer

Washington DC hospitality veteran Alisia Kleinmann and founder of notable event-based hospitality organization ‘industree’ (www.dcindustree.com), are hosting the pop-up event ‘F*CK FORKS’ (www.fckforks.com) on Thursday, October 24th, 2013 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Taste of DC’s headquarters (629 New York Avenue NW, Washington DC).  This event is slated to feature an assortment of fork-free dishes by ten of the areas notable chefs, four mixologists, live music from DJ Kid Cannibal, live interactive art by ArtJamz, and more – all with to help raise funds and awareness for FCancer!

WHY: industree’s mission is to help connect restaurant and hospitality industry professionals with each other, their supporters, and their related industries, such as construction/development, architecture/design, real estate, and media.  It serves as a way to boost the entrepreneurial spirit within the industry by providing stories, insight, and the resources necessary to be successful.

Johnna French is a Harlem NY native with deep roots in Panama, Washington, DC and North Carolina. All four places have heavily influenced her life and the foods she loves today. French, who still practices law, leads a team of three writers to cover the ever expanding Washington, DC food scene. French has been featured in print and television, appearing in Washingtonian Magazine and is a regular contributor to various local TV affiliates including WUSA 9, FOX 5 DC and WJLA (ABC Affiliate) News Channel 8. During the 2016-2017 football season, Johnna aired on Comcast Sports Mid-Atlantic (CSN) show, Redskins Life, as the weekly tailgate host. Johnna is currently a regular contributor to the FOX Baltimore Weekend morning show.
