DSC_08951.  Open Kitchen celebrates their four-year anniversary by giving back to its community that has made it so popular and partnering with local non-profit Slow Food, DC chapter to bring The Ark of Taste Gardens to area public schools.

On October 7, 2013, Open Kitchen Bistro + Wine bar will donate 50% of the night’s sales to support Slow Food DC’s The Ark of Taste Garden program. The Ark of Taste promotes the forgotten flavors of rare and regional foods that make up our country’s diverse cultural and culinary heritage. The DC Chapter will use the money donated to plant gardens at local public schools to raise awareness in the Northern Virginia community.

2.  October is National Pizza Month, and La Tagliatella invites you to celebrate with them all month-long. La Tagliatella Charlotte, Clarendon and Atlanta will be offering a selection of their lunch sized pizzas for $1 from 4-7 pm on the first three Mondays of the month, and every day the last week of the month.  Every dollar customers spend on the $1 pizzas will be donated to No Kid Hungry, a non-profit making its mission to help end childhood hunger.

  • Monday October 7th, 14th and 21st:$1 pizzas will be available to all bar guests and patio diners from 4pm to 7pm. Maximum one pizza for every four guests to share.
  • Monday October 28th – Friday November 1st::  $1 pizzas will be available every day to all guests throughout theentire restaurant from 4pm to 7pm. Maximum one pizza for every four guests to share.
