Johnna’s Eggs Benedict created @ L’Academie de Cuisine

Two places you should be shopping are: …  Unfortunately, I do not know the names of these places.  They are that mysterious and amazing in selection.  Who knew that tucked in the Northeast neighborhood surrounding Union Market are the best places to buy your kitchenware and pastas that Giant seemingly fails to supply?!?  I do not have the official store names but I do have the addy’s (*see below) of these two places that monopolized my Saturday afternoon and my wallet.  Literally captivated by the rows and rows of ingredients I did not know existed in the District, I collected almost all the tools I use regularly at L’Academie de Cuisine.

Chef style pots and pans for under $15, cocktail supplies for under $1 that will make you look like an official mixologists and a host of other supplies that would run you $30+ at a well known retailer.  The Italian shop has every kind of olive oil your Italian grandmother would store in her kitchen and the pasta selection will make your head spin.  These are my ideas of being a kid in a candy store.  I got lost, found some wonderful things and I suggest you run, sprint, make this your next shopping trip.
