Where I’m Eating: Mussels

Mussels St. Arnold

Leaving Connecticut Avenue was bittersweet especially once I realized St. Arnold’s Mussel Bar was opening in Cleveland Park.  A piping hot bowl of steam Mussels in an eclectic broth mix with a side of frits can make my meal any day of the week.  The restaurant truly caters to the Mussels/Beer drinker in you with a very limited selection of any other alcoholic beverages.  The restaurant tackles other areas besides mussels with Belgian waffles, “Underground Dogs” and Fish n’ Chips rounding out the menu.  My pick: Mussels St. Arnolds, the House Specialty, which is a blend of House Beer Sauce, Caramelized Shallot, Garlic and Thyme, Duck Fat.
