Gi.Ve.Aw.Ay: The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show

Once a year the biggest names in the culinary world come together in the Nation’s Capital.  The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show returns to the Walter E. Convention Center on November 3-4, 2012 with headliners Giada De Laurentiis, Jacques Pepin and daughter Claudine, Top Chef,  judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons, The Chew’s Michael Symon and Carla Hall and Next Food Network Star winner “The Sandwich King” Jeff Mauro.  The two-day show will feature performances by celebrity chefs, a host of tastings, entertaining workshops, a wine and spirits pavilion and over 400 specialty food exhibitors showcasing products for sale.

Ticket packages are available including a two-day pass that offers access to all celebrity theater presentations.  There are also VIP tickets available which gives you an opportunity to rub elbows with some of the stars at receptions and at the “Sandwich and Beer” event with “The Sandwich King” Jeff Mauro and Neighborhood Restaurant Group’s beer director Greg Engert.  Now you can purchase the tickets here and/or you can enter Johnna Knows Good Food’s giveaway for a pair of one day theater passes!

Winners will receive:  Two (2) one-day theater passes (choose either November 2 or 3), which guarantees you general admission to see the floor show (*Entertaining workshops, tastings, specialty food exhibits and the James Beard cooking stage where local chefs will showcase their talents).  Additionally, the passes will grant you access to the Celebrity Theater where celebrity performers will take the stage.  Saturday passes will grant you access to see Giada De Laurentiis perform among others, while Sunday passes will grant you access to see performances by celebrity chefs such as Carla Hall of The Chew and Jacques Pepin.

    I am looking forward to seeing Carla Hall and Michael Symon on Sunday. Hoping to get the tickets for the 4th. I remember following Chef Carla all through Top Chef!
