Kraut Rocks

[ 0 ] September 27, 2012 |

Sauerkraut is the food of the month and Kraut Rocks is showcasing sauerkraut as the new must-have menu addition at five popular Washington D.C. eateries. For the past month the featured Kraut Rocks chefs and their respective restaurants have been competing to have their signature sauerkraut dish win the title of “fan favorite” as determined by your votes on Krautrocks.com.

With only a few days left to cast your vote you are encouraged to visit your favorite restaurant to sample their kraut creation and vote. Former Top Chef contestant and DC restaurateur Spike Mendelsohn cooked up some fierce Kraut Rocks competition among Granville Moore’s Teddy Folkman; The Queen Vic British Pub’s Ian Reeves; Fabrice Reymond of Redline GastroLounge; Toki Underground’s Erik Bruner-Yang; and Ryan Wheeler of Virtue Feed & Grain. Your vote will help crown one of these chefs the Kraut King!

You can catch a glimpse of their savory dishes in this video. Vote for your favorite so you can share in their sweet taste of victory. Don’t forget, in addition to earning bragging rights, the winning chef will spice up your grand prize, too.  The restaurant of the chef who gets the most votes becomes the featured grand prize awarded in the Kraut Rocks sweepstakes.  You can win a $250 gift certificate to that rocking chefs’ restaurant in the online sweepstakes.
