Itching to Go Back to Sweetwater Tavern…

[ 0 ] August 9, 2012 |

I had never heard about this place before until I went out with a couple of friends a couple weekends ago. Sweetwater Tavern has three locations in Virginia: Merrifield, Centreville, and Sterling. We had reservations at the Centreville location and aside from Luray Caverns and visiting wineries, I have never been so happy to be that far in Virginia after that.

I had the mixed green salad to start, followed by the filet mignon entree (that was cooked perfectly), and the warm white chocolate bread pudding to end the night. That feeling you get when you’ve dined sufficiently and you don’t want to move? You just want to sit there and sit there? Yeah, I had that feeling. I was completely stuffed and satisfied.

Sweetwater is a part of the Great American Restaurant chain that does Coastal Flats, Artie’s, Ozzies, and others, so if you’re a fan of any of those, be sure to check them out. It’s always been a tradition of mine to take pictures of my food the moment it’s placed on the table. My camera never made it out of my purse that day because I was too ravenous and too engrossed to get it. There’s a first for everything, yes?

Check out their menu here :-).

Happy Eating!
