Complete coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games will be aired tonight at 7:30 ET. People from around the world who have purchased international flights to London will be able to witness the grand event in person; however, most of us (who cashed in on our United Airlines points earlier in the summer) will be watching the event from our televisions, laptops, tablets or phone. Celebrate the start of the Olympic games with a meal fit for champions that is representative of the team you support or even try something new by exploring the cuisine of the country that represents your team’s biggest competition. The Washington Post has put together a list of places to watch the Olympic games. If you’re just in the mood for a ‘proud American’ meal, restaurants that pride themselves in American fine dining in DC area include 701, The Oval Room and DC Coast.
Enjoy and go, Team USA!
