Finding a great deal on an international flight is not always an easy task, so it’s always a joy and a convenience to be able to indulge in the culinary practices of other cultures without having to cash in a single American Airlines point. Luckily for the good people of the DMV area, there has been a recent swell in the offering of international cuisine, due to the following two new additions to the international food scene.
The first stop for your taste buds’ world tour is presented by Kababji Authentic Lebanese Cuisine, which will now be serving up fine Lebanese cuisine from their newly-introduced Kababji Food Truck. The Kababji Truck features Lebanese Kabab sandwiches, platters, and intriguing grab and go options. Among menu items on the KababjiTruck include familiar favorites such as lamb kebab sandwich, hummus, baba ghannouj, chicken and rice platter and many more!
You can find the Kababji Truck at the following locations during lunch:
Monday – Metro Center (12th and G Street NW)
Tuesday – Union Station (Mass Ave and North Capitol)
Wednesday – State Department (29th and Virginia)
Thursday – L’Enfant (Maryland and 7th St SW)
Friday – Farragut Square (17th and K)
The next place that you can taste the flavors of the world from right in the DMV is Spice 6 , a new, modern eatery in the Shoppes at Arts District in Hyattsville, MD. Patrons of Spice 6 will be treated their choice of different combinations of base (such as naan, white or brown rice, naan pizza, or salad), protein, curry sauce or chutney and extras with the freedom to customize their orders as they see fit. Visitors to this modern, casual dining eatery will also be able to watch chef Upendra Thapaliya, a 20-year veteran chef from Nepal, prepare their meals due to the open kitchen that showcases a clay oven “Tandoor”.
Expose your palate to the great offerings that these two new places have to offer and show them a great DMV welcome to the food scene.
