Etiquette Tuesday: Soap + Water= A Good Thing.

Recently I had the pleasure of attending one of my favorite gatherings: the informal food gathering.  No expectations, no uptight conversation necessary, just plan ol’ fun.  There is, however, the expectation that everyone has clean hands as they pass and touch the items on the table.  At the very least, I am hoping you at least met with soap and water at least once before you stuck your hands on the veggie dipping tray.  At this particular gathering I knew of at least one person that I have seen with my own eyes come out of the bathroom and completely surpass the soap and sink.  Yes, this is the same person who decided it was their place to pass around the napkins at this particular get together.

I do not think it necessary to say that this is gross, you know this behavior falls below the line of gross.  It is actually the easiest way to pass along germs.  I guess it is naive of me to believe that everyone was taught to wash their hands after using the restroom.  They are many out there who do not abide by this rule.  This is why Etiquette Tuesday should be passed on to everyone you know just in case there’s someone out there who still does not know the rule.  Do not touch anything until you wash your hands after leaving a restroom, bathroom and the like.  This rule needs no explanation why it should be followed and besides there’s food around People…give it the proper respect.
