Savor every flavor: Cooking “En Papillote”

[ 0 ] May 24, 2012 |

I, being a relatively “young buck” in the cooking world, was quite interested when I heard of cooking “En Papillote” and jumped at the opportunity to try it out.  Earlier this year, PaperChef introduced paper cooking bags, which allow you to cook without the use of aluminum and allow for an easier cleanup after cooking. These bags work especially well for veggies and fish. I finally got around to using my bags and cooked up some fresh asparagus. When I tell you it was easy, I mean it! All I had to do was add my veggies and my seasonings to the bag and pop them in the oven as usual. The result was fresh asparagus that seemed to be literally infused with the seasonings that I added to the bag. I am definitely looking forward to trying these handy bags out with some fresh salmon and I’ll definitely be checking out other products from PaperChef!

I added salt, pepper, garlic and a splash of lemon juice to my cooking bag.
