World Tour: Japan in Greensboro

I’ve never really considered purchasing an airline ticket and traveling to Asia; however, after my trip to Greensboro’s Japanese-hotspot Arigato, I must admit that my interest has been sparked.  After a five-course meal full of bold, flavorful selections and an impressive performance from the chef, I would love to experience Japanese cuisine from the heart of the country itself.

Dinner began with a chicken broth with a subtle, yet enjoyable flavor and was followed by a basic dinner salad.  The chef then treated us to grilled shrimp and Oriental-style zucchini and onions as an appetizer.  For my main course, I enjoyed a cut of filet mignon alongside, teriyaki chicken and grilled shrimp – all of which was piled on a mountain of fried rice.  Together, everything blended perfectly especially with the help of the ginger dipping sauce.  Everything was followed with an eclair-esque dessert that had a pleasantly mild and sweet flavor.  Needless to say, I was stuffed and I will have quite the impressive lunch for tomorrow.  So, while I wait on those United Airlines points to build up, I’ll just add Japan to my travel/cuisine wishlist, and in the meantime, I’ll get my fix at Arigato.
