A few places to toast in the New Year in the District:

Cuba Libre: A pre-fixe menu is available for $90 with limited reservations for 9 pm and 9:30 pm.  Late diners will be able to keep their reserved table throughout the evening which works to their advantage once the entertainment begins at 11 PM.  Salsa, meringue and a “Late Night Latin” floorshow means you should bring your dancing shoes.

Cafe Atlantico:  Head Chef Richard Brandenburg will offer a nine-course tasting menu for $125 per person from 8:15- 9:45 pm.  Of course, there will be dancing.  The first floor will open at 10:30pm with a DJ and is open to the public with a cash bar until last call at 2am.

Buddha Bar:  “A Very Buddha New Year” will offer a traditional and vegetarian prix fixe menu with a complimentary a glass of Piper Heidsieck Champagne and American Coffee or Tea for $100.

Bastille:  A four course Parisian inspired pre-fixe menu for $59 (*optional wine pairing for $29) from 5 pm- 10 pm.

Taberna del Alabardero: Ring in the New Year eating grapes and listening to the sounds of Emme St. James Trio after feasting on a traditional Spanish feast.  (*$115 per person)

Bourbon Steak:  If you plan to toast the New Year with Bourbon Steak, you should aim for the second seating.  From 8:30 – 9:30 pm guests will have a six-course tasting menu and a midnight Champagne toast for $175 per person.
