Etiquette Tuesday: Leave the Drama in the Rolls…

Last night I did something I have not done in a long time:  watch TV.  When it’s warm, I stay glued to outdoor activities…when it’s cold, I am glued to the TV.  My guilty pleasure (*The Real Housewives of Atlanta) inspired this weeks Etiquette Tuesday.  That’s the thing about reality tv…it gives false impressions of how you should act in real life situations.  Hence, this week’s Etiquette Tip:  Leave the Drama Outside.

Arguing, bickering and all other types of aggressive behavior should NOT take place at ANY dining establishment, especially one where there is fine cuisine.  While last nights episode was absolutely entertaining for me, pointing fingers and raising voices in a room where champagne and Louboutin’s are in high numbers should be strictly prohibited.  Even if it is “reality” and you have a bank account that starts somewhere in the eight digits range, let’s have some couth people!  Having class cannot be bought.  Just because you drive a Bentley or wear Giuseppe’s to the grocery store…if you are coming to blows at Jean Georges, you might as well be wearing Faded Glory and driving a 1986 Corolla.

They say life imitates art (*and vice versa…) but I am hoping that this message touches someone before they decide to intrude on someone else’s happy time.  Whatever $10,000 scandal, lies or mistresses you want to address should be best kept behind closed doors…
