Johnna’s Pick of the Week: Co Co Sala

Ever thought about chocolate covered bacon?? Well if you have not, DC’s new chocolate place-to-be helps you bring it to mind. Co Co Sala’s bacon mac & cheese will give new light to the old comfort food classic. This restaurant is such a cool concept: Chocolate is in and on everything!! The dessert-making open kitchen is a fun watch while your toasting drinks and peeking in to the see the chef’s creations. The decor is the hip/trendy/posh decor that makes you always feel like your forever 21. 

The service was engaging too…it’s almost like you have to build a relationship with your waiter to understand how this whole chocolate excursion is about to go down.  JKGF must say, however, despite the foods dee-lish tastes, the drinks are what stole our hearts.  The Alisar containing cucumber slices adds just the right flavor to the vodka infused drink.  The Cocojito is the JKGF favorite, however:  Think your favorite mojito meets thin chocolate slices.  Melts in your mouth! The perfect place to fulfill your chocolate fix. Yum.
